LED Light Therapy for skin you can smile about
LED light therapy stimulates the skin’s natural repair and rejuvenation processes, making it safe for all skin types and is effective in the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions. This non-invasive technique uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to combat acne and promote skin and/or facial rejuvenation.
The treatment emits red light which has been shown to stimulate production of collagen in the skin. The LED light is effective at treating certain conditions that are close to the skin’s surface such as acne and infections. Also known as phototherapy, it improves elasticity and increases blood circulation while releasing toxins. This, in turn, stimulates the anti-ageing process, helps to normalise cellular imbalances, and improves skin tone and clarity.
LED Light therapy can also reduce dark spots and small threaded veins on the face. Studies have shown photo rejuvenation, i.e. exposure to LED treatment, can cause a significant increase in cell regeneration and skin hydration.
The use of light sources to treat certain conditions such as the ones described below is a safe procedure delivering a number of therapeutic benefits without side effects.
- Rosecea (inflammatory skin condition)
- Can be a supplementary treatment after mesotherapy, laser, fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments, among others.
